  • Many hybrid groups combine a DJ with a few live musicians layered on top, or alternate between band sets and DJ sets during the reception. AMP was designed differently from the start as a fully integrated ensemble where vocalists, instrumentalists, and DJ perform together as one continuous performance. This structure allows the music to move naturally across genres, eras, and cultures while keeping the dance floor full and the energy consistent from start to finish at your event. - Founder-led. Because our DJ performs as a part of the band, we’re able to mix the songs you love continuously in real time while the musicians bring the performance to life. From full song performances to quick-mix transitions, AMP DJ/BAND HYBRID is a modern “superband.”

  • Absolutely! One of the best parts about being a DJ band combo is the ability to cover all genres. Our couples are diverse, and incorporating different cultural elements is one of our favorite things to do. From The Hora and Tarantella to Bachata and Egyptian music… we’ve got you covered!

They bring personality to the music, interact with your guests, and turn familiar songs into moments that feel emotional and unforgettable. - In a vocally led hybrid like AMP, singers don’t just perform songs, they help shape the energy of the room in real time, guide transitions between moments, and keep guests engaged from the first dance through the last song.

  • Here at AMP, there are always entertainers on the bandstand. There is never “dead air”, and every moment is planned for. Your band members will take turns for dinner break, so there is always continuous music at your event.

  • Yes. Interaction is a natural part of the AMP experience. Our front-line singers and musicians move beyond the stage to engage with your guests directly, creating an immersive, high-energy atmosphere that keeps the dance floor connected and the momentum building all night.

  • Personalization is one of the most important parts of what we do. Rather than working from a standard setlist, we collaborate with each couple to shape moments throughout the celebration that feel meaningful and completely their own.

    For one couple, we wrote and recorded a custom first dance telling their story from their first date through their wedding day, incorporating details they shared with us about how they met, their favorite places together, and even their nicknames for each other. The song then transitioned into one of their favorite upbeat tracks, creating a moment that felt both personal and celebratory.

    Another bride wanted to honor her father, who had passed before the wedding. We helped her record a spoken dedication to him, layered it over a custom cello version of “My Way’, and designed a musical transition into a joyful dance with her mother that was emotional and heartfelt.

    We’ve also helped a bride surprise their new wife with a killin’ drum solo they’d practiced for months. We coordinated with them behind the scenes for the surprise of a lifetime, and when they took the stage with us and rocked the house, their new wife couldn’t believe her eyes!

  • Yes. We love being part of the planning process and are always happy to help guide you toward songs that feel right for the moment. Whether you already have ideas or aren’t sure where to start, we share our expertise and suggestions to help shape each special dance so it feels personal and effortless.

  • Yes… Six months before your wedding date, you will receive your Event Planning Guide. This online questionnaire is where your must-play and do-not-play song lists will live, as well as announcements, and timeline details, so nothing gets lost, and we stay organized throughout the planning process.

  • AMP’s Three-Point Planning Process

    1. Shortly after booking, we will schedule our "Get To Know You" consultation, where we will take a deep dive into your musical vibe.

    2. Six months before your event, you will receive your Event Planning Guide. This questionnaire takes us through the details of your timeline, song requests, special announcements, etc., ensuring that everything runs like clockwork.

    3. Two weeks before your event, we will have our Final Planning Meeting to run down all the details one last time before your big day.

      * BONUS: Beyond our three-point planning process, we remain by your side throughout the entire experience as creative partners. From early ideas to final details, we’re always available to help create a musical experience that reflects your story.

  • Most couples choose our signature AMP DJ/BAND HYBRID (4–10 pieces) , which typically ranges from $10,000–$20,000+, with an average investment around $15,000 depending on ensemble size and event scope.

    For more intimate celebrations, our boutique hybrid, AMP REMIX (2–3 pieces) , is also available starting at $7,000. - We help each couple select the configuration that best supports their vision, venue, and guest experience.

  • We typically recommend booking 9-18 months in advance, especially for peak wedding dates and locations such as the NYC area, Long Island, the Hudson Valley, and the Hamptons. Because AMP is founder-led and performs a limited number of events each year, availability can fill quickly. That said, if your celebration is sooner, we might still be available… Check availability HERE.

  • No. When you book AMP DJ/BAND HYBRID, we pride ourselves on giving you a white-glove experience. We intentionally limit the number of events we take each year so each client gets our full attention to detail. That is the AMP experience.

  • We require a 30% Retainer upon signing. Your remaining balance is split evenly into two, with the 2nd payment due midway to your event and the final balance due 14 days before your event.

  • Yes! We are based in New York and travel everywhere!

  • Absolutely! Options include string ensembles, acoustic musicians, instrumentalists, or curated hybrid-style music, depending on the atmosphere you’d like to create.

  • Yes. All of our hybrid bands are led by founders, Ana and Jimmy, who make all the important announcements and guide your guests through the event.

  • Yes. All of our hybrid bands include our dedicated sound team that provides state-of-the-art audio equipment and wireless mics for toasts and speeches.

  • Our dedicated professional sound team is on-site for your entire celebration, providing complete coverage for all your needs. Our sound engineers arrive early to coordinate with your venue and planner, tailor the system to your space, and manage every detail behind the scenes so the experience feels polished and effortless from start to finish.

    Because AMP blends live musicians and DJ performance simultaneously, professional sound support is an essential part of creating the elevated hybrid experience our couples expect.

  • We always include our essential stage lighting. We also offer uplighting, photo booth, staging, and any other event extras you may need. Just ask.

  • Every AMP DJ/BAND HYBRID member will wear formal black attire for your event. If there is a specific color or vibe you prefer, we are happy to coordinate to your preference.

  • We coordinate with your venue to see how early we can arrive. We like to arrive as early as possible to ensure we have all the time needed to set up, sound check, and be ready to rock!

  • Yes, we carry liability insurance and can provide a copy of our policy upon request.
